Arusha National Park has an awe-inspiring blend of vegetation which includes swamp, grasslands and montane forest and, of course, the mountain slopes of Meru which are swathed in tropical rainforest. It’s a unique eco-system that attracts thousands of animals and birds.

Arusha National Park lies 45km east of Arusha town. It is also 58km from Moshi and 35km from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). The park is home for Mount Meru standing at 4565m Ngurdoto and Momella lakes. Despite it is relatively small the park has much to offer you like back and white colobus, flamingos, giraffe, buffalo, warthog, blue monkey elephant, bushbuck plus variety of birds and plant species.
Mount Meru is the second highest peak in Tanzania after Mount Kilimanjaro, which is just 60 km away and forms a backdrop to views from the park to the east. As afternoon begins to end you will make your way toward Arusha to the hotel booked by yourself for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
