Terms and Conditions for Mo Taxi Services

Welcome to Mo Taxi! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our taxi services within Moshi and Arusha. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms.

1. Booking and Confirmation All bookings can be made via phone, email, or online booking systems. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation message (email, SMS, or WhatsApp) from Mo Taxi. Mo Taxi reserves the right to refuse service to any customer if necessary. 2. Payment Terms Payment can be made in cash, via mobile payment platforms (e.g., M-Pesa), or by credit card (if applicable). Full payment is required upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Additional fees may apply for after-hours services (10 PM - 6 AM) and for any detours or changes made during the trip. Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before the scheduled pickup time to avoid a cancellation fee of 50% of the estimated fare. 3. Service and Safety All drivers are fully licensed and trained to ensure a safe and comfortable ride. Passengers are required to wear seatbelts at all times, and Mo Taxi will not be liable for any injuries caused by passengers not following safety protocols. The safety and comfort of all passengers are a priority, and we reserve the right to refuse service to any individual who is under the influence, behaves aggressively, or poses a safety risk. 4. Changes to Bookings Any changes to your booking (e.g., change of time or destination) should be communicated as soon as possible. Mo Taxi will accommodate such changes, subject to availability. Extra charges may apply for any changes that significantly alter the original booking. 5. Delays and Wait Times Mo Taxi is committed to providing timely service. However, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control, such as traffic, weather, or road closures. A waiting fee will be applied if the driver waits longer than 15 minutes beyond the scheduled pickup time. The fee will be charged per minute and communicated at the time of booking. 6. Passenger Conduct Passengers are expected to behave respectfully and follow all instructions provided by the driver. Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited inside the vehicle. Any damage caused to the vehicle by the passenger will be the responsibility of the passenger, and repair costs will be charged accordingly. 7. Luggage and Personal Belongings Passengers are responsible for their own luggage and belongings. Mo Taxi is not liable for any loss or damage to personal items during the journey unless negligence can be proven on the part of the driver. 8. Child Seats Child seats are available upon request and must be reserved in advance. Mo Taxi recommends the use of child seats for the safety of young passengers. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that child seats are correctly fastened and used during the journey. 9. Cancellation and Refund Policy Cancellations made at least 2 hours before the scheduled pickup time will not incur a cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the scheduled time will incur a 50% fee of the estimated fare. Refunds for pre-paid bookings will be processed within 7-10 business days. 10. Liability Mo Taxi strives to provide a safe, reliable service but will not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or missed appointments due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., traffic, road closures, accidents). Mo Taxi is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damages incurred during the service unless negligence by the company or driver is established. 11. Complaints and Feedback If you have any complaints or feedback regarding our service, please contact us at [contact details]. We take all feedback seriously and aim to resolve any issues as promptly as possible. 12. Governing Law These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tanzania.
